Our team is built from a group of people with diverse experiences in the recruiting and football industry. To a person, they approach their work here with integrity, utilizing their expertise to guide your student athlete to find success not only getting to the next level, but in finding success throughout their playing career. Our team consists of former and current head coaches, football moms, former NFL players, national media draft analysists, analytics professionals, former Division I athletes, and strategic architects - all dedicated to providing a personalized plan for your student athlete, including best practices to build their brand and gain the exposure they deserve. Our team doesn't just mentor these student athletes, but we collaborate with the whole family to ensure understanding and to execute on the strategic plan to get your athlete the opportunity they deserve.

Shane brings a lifelong passion for football and a dedicated, athlete-first approach to recruiting to Lance O's.
Shane is committed to helping student-athletes gain maximum exposure and secure every possible scholarship opportunity to compete at the college level. He specializes in creating personalized, one-on-one recruiting strategies tailored to each athlete’s goals, abilities, and academic profile.
Shane works closely with student-athletes to navigate the recruiting process, evaluate opportunities, and make informed college decisions that set them up for long-term success both on and off the field.

Shane is committed to helping student-athletes gain maximum exposure and secure every possible scholarship opportunity to compete at the college level. He specializes in creating personalized, one-on-one recruiting strategies tailored to each athlete’s goals, abilities, and academic profile.

DION BLACK
NATIONAL FOOTBALL SCOUT
Dion Black joins the LRN Staff after being the Defensive Coordinator at Defiance College for three years. He has mentored 6 All Conference players, 1 All Region and 1 NAIA ALL AMERICAN.
Black made his way to Defiance after serving as head coach at Flyght Academy Prep Post Grad school where he coached them to a conference championship and national championship appearance in the school's inaugural season.
Prior to his time at Flyght Academy , he spent 3 seasons at West Carollton High School where he was Head Coach. While there, he helped lead 5 players to ALL-OHIO, 10 All Southwest district, and 16 All Conference.
Before coaching at West Carrollton, he spent two seasons at Trotwood where he was Defensive Coordinator and Safeties Coach. While at Trotwood, he coached All Conference, All Southwest District, and All Ohio players. In 2017, he helped coached Trotwood to a State Championship. He also spent 6 years at Miamisburg High School where he help lead the defense to 5 straight playoff appearances and a regional championship appearance. He also helped mentor multiple scholarship players, like in Josh Myers (NFL 2nd Round pick to the Green Bay Packers and now with the New York Jets), and Chris Myers (drafted by MLB Detroit Tigers).
As a player, Black spent four seasons at Urbana University as a defensive back.

NATIONAL SCOUTING COORDINATOR
Originally from the New England area, Melissa is an alum of both University of Rhode Island and Clark University. She is now based in Southern New Jersey, an avid New England Patriots fan in Philadelphia Eagles territory, where she and her husband are raising their two kids.
Melissa’s professional background includes extensive experience running youth programs, mentoring programs and college access programs. Melissa knows what it takes to support young people to succeed. As a parent and a first-generation college student, she is passionate about helping families navigate the college application and recruiting process. This passion is just right for her role as a Recruiting Coordinator with our recruiting network.

David Ausberry, from Lemoore California (Central California) was a US Army All American Selection, Parade All American. David was in the USC football recruiting class of 2006.
He comes with 15+ years of football experience, including as a player, trainer, and recruiter.David is a USC graduate, 3x Rose Bowl Champion, and has four and half years of NFL playing experience with the Oakland Raiders.
David brings a passion for learning and helping others, a knack for finding untapped talent nationwide, and with a lot of excitement to be a part of Lance O's.
