WES HILL

NATIONAL FOOTBALL SCOUT

Hill’s performance in high school earned him preferred walk-on (PWO) opportunities from Eastern Kentucky University and Ohio University, along with 19 additional Division II scholarship offers. Instead of continuing his playing career, he made the decision to transition into coaching at just 19 years old, accepting a collegiate position coach role at Hocking College.

Becoming one of the youngest coaches at the collegiate level pushed him to grow quickly as a leader, teacher, and developer of young men. He later served as a Defensive Line Assistant at Ohio University under Defensive Coordinator Spence Nowinsky, contributing to the development of the MAC Champion Bobcats. That experience at the Division I level sharpened his understanding of defensive front play, recruiting operations, scouting, and game preparation.

In addition to coaching, He’s helped start a post-graduate football program (Ex Prep Post Grad) in Huntington, creating opportunities for athletes seeking development and exposure beyond high school. Building something from the ground up reinforced his commitment to mentorship, structure, and providing pathways for student-athletes to reach the next level.

Hill’s journey — from highly recruited high school athlete to collegiate coach and program builder — reflects his passion for football, leadership, and developing others through the game.
